The Brothers Koren

The Brothers Koren are a musical duo who are equally passionate about elevating other voices, from all walks of life. They are being considered this year's Grammy season for Best Folk Album with their debut album, 'I Went to the Sea to Be Free', which they recorded at Sonic Ranch with Grammy award winning producer, Nic Hard.
 

Their next single, ‘Automatic’ is about breaking the silence and amplifying the conversation around mental health, finding courage to speak up. 'Automatic' was co-written and produced by award winning producer and songwriter Jeff Trott, who wrote and produced some of Cheryl Crow’s biggest hits and was named songwriter of the year by BMI. Their next album expands the palate of sounds to integrate drums, bass and organic synths.

The Brothers have been writing collective anthems with groups and organizations, crowd sourcing songs to elevate the uncomfortable conversations. They believe in the power of music to bridge cultural divides and barriers to peace. Isaac and Thorald use music for human growth and transformation and are musical directors of the Association of Transformational Leaders.

They founded, Your Big Voice, a school for self development and social change, using music as the medicine and the medium. They have mentored thousands of people in using their voice and being heard.

With a family history of mental illness and one of the brothers, Thorald, almost losing his life to a critical case of OCD, the brothers have collaborated with organizations like BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health) and have a podcast on mental health called Embracing Crazy. The Brothers want 'Automatic' to be a reminder that we are not alone in our struggles, when we step into our voice and come together in unison. 

The Brothers are the hosts of a new TV show called 'The Journey'. The pilot was shot in August is currently being shopped to Netflix for 2022. The show is about the power of the human voice using music as the tool for development and transformation.
